I enjoyed Brad Thor’s books until I noticed how egregiously opposed to President Trump he is. It’s more than Thor just disagreeing with Trump, too. He actually ran for for President back in 2016 because of nothing more than ego. It’s hard for me to disregard something like this and just enjoy his books so I’ve given up on them. I can’t put money into the pockets of people who work so hard (and use their “celebrity status”) to put down an American President who has the nerve to stand up and fight against the permanent class of DC bureaucrats who are the worst of the worst. I've loved Vince Flynn, Robert Parker, etc. - and expected to 'love' Thor. First one - okay. 2-8 engrossing. Then I read this one.The worst ‘thriller-killer’ I have ever read. I do like multiple plots, multiple layers, etc. But this excuse for a ‘novel’ was only novel in that it was so disjointed that I lost interest. A ‘Vince Flynn” Thor is not. He does not bother to develop character, he is too busy describing military hardware or military/governmental anacronyms. The violence was excessive for a reader, and after someone had been beaten/tortured to near death, they get up and join the fight. The addition of the female entourage was laughable, considering when and how they were introduced. I have bought a few more, guess they go to the library. Ugh!
